The New York Mills School Board has completed its Superintendent search and has extended a contract to New York Mills High School Principal Blaine Novak.
Pending the completion of the contract, Novak will succeed Todd Cameron who served as Superintendent in New York Mills for 10 years.
Novak has been with the New York Mills School District for 24 years. In that time, he has served as a science teacher, a coach, Athletic Director, Community Education Director and, for the last 5 years, as High School Principal.
The interview committee recently spoke with four candidates that the school board had selected after an initial review. When finished with that process, Novak was unanimously chosen by the board to succeed Cameron.
